Job Description

The Hedging and Loan Sales Analyst works closely with the SVP, Capital Markets to analyze on a daily basis (intra-day if market and volume activity dictate) the risks associated with our mortgage pipeline and ensure that it is accurately hedged, and then sold on timely basis.


  • The Hedging and Loan Sales Analyst must successfully balance daily, weekly and monthly hedging and loan sales responsibilities with the need to constantly improve the precision with which we analyze our pipeline, perform best execution, and assess our results. Coordination with mortgage operations is required to facilitate loans sales activities.
  • Prepare, review and analyze reports that provide loan level detail re:  the daily position
  • Monitor pipeline behavior vs. assumptions
  • Ensure that assumptions in the pipeline hedging application accurately reflect the market
  • Analyze fallout and other pipeline related considerations
  • Manage timely sale transactions from trade date to settlement
  • Complete detailed analysis of loan sales results
  • Complete ad hoc analysis and queries using 
  • Other projects as investor and business demands dictate


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, is required
  • Minimum of three (3) years mortgage banking experience required
  • Secondary marketing. pipeline hedging experience and loans sales experience is preferred  
  • Strategic experience in capital markets, mortgage lending and financial services preferred
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.  
  • Excellent ability to query, analyze and report on loan level data.  
  • Ability to digest overall business strategy and apply that understanding in completing daily responsibilities and other relevant analysis
  • Must be detail-oriented, assertive and appreciate the importance of accurately and thoroughly completing various financial functions.  
  • Should have the ability to quickly grasp complicated issues, develop solutions and complete analysis with recommendations. 



  • Recommends trades to ensure the mandatory pipeline is hedged in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Sells mandatory pipeline to maximize gain on sale.
  • Formally responsible for making recommendations regarding policies associated with the job’s purpose and essential responsibilities.
