JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Manager manages and coordinates activities of facilities technicians engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structures of building and grounds.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the maintenance of all buildings, grounds, equipment, and vehicles of the bank
  • Manage maintenance staff to include daily oversight, approval of time reporting, scheduling, after hour emergencies, performance management and provide guidance as necessary for professional development and growth
  • Accountable for overseeing and resolving all maintenance issues within bank facilities
  • Manage all maintenance requests to ensure work is completed in an effective and timely manner
  • Assign direct and oversee maintenance and repair activities completed by internal staff or outside vendors
  • Negotiate the maintenance contracts with vendors
  • Responsible for the building services for the appropriate market locations (landscaping, snow removal, HVAC)
  • Manage and schedule all preventive maintenance program on bank facilities to ensure properties are efficiently operating on a daily basis
  • Recommend capital improvements and implements those approved
  • Work closely with VP, Property Management to standardize building supplies and manage the purchasing of them;
  • Responsible for fire safety and elevator compliance
  • Responsible for facilities vehicle maintenance/repairs are completed and current
  • Maintain parking garage vendor relationship and distribute parking passes as necessary
  • Make recommendations for improving working conditions and efficiency of locations/branches.
  • As assigned, work with VP, Property Management on special projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years related commercial or corporate facilities and/or maintenance working experience or equivalent combination of education and working experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior experience managing facilities or maintenance staff required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required (Work, Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and exercise discretion in decision making situations
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to utilize own vehicle for transportation throughout the day is preferred
  • Ability to travel frequently within the designated area of responsibilities
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Overall understanding of financial industry highly desired
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and contribute to being a part of a team;
  • Ability to be flexible in work hours as needed
  • Demonstrated ability to represent the Bank in a professional manner

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Pulling, lifting and pushing of office furniture, equipment and boxes
  • Sufficient dexterity of hands and fingers to efficiently operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.
  • Ability to converse and exchange information with all levels of staff within organization.
  • Ability to observe, perceive, identify, and translate data
  • Ability to travel via air, rail, automobile and/or bus.
