The Operations Associate plays a crucial role in managing various payment functions, including payment entry and verification. This position also involves handling small departmental projects or tasks as needed.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:


•    Create Wire Transfers: Process wire transfers received via fax and phone, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
•    Payment Verification: Verify payments and perform callbacks to confirm transaction details, maintaining high standards of security and accuracy.
•    Customer and Branch Support: Respond to inquiries from customers, branches, and other back offices through phone and email, providing clear and helpful information.
•    Effective Communication: Demonstrate strong communication skills when interacting with appropriate personnel, ensuring smooth operations and collaboration.
•    Cross-Training: Participate in cross-training activities to learn additional duties within the department, enhancing versatility and team support.
•    Payment Research: Investigate payment discrepancies and errors, providing solutions and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
•    Learning and Certification: Show willingness to learn various payment rail rules and pursue relevant certifications to stay updated with industry standards.
•    Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all transactions and activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
•    Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to payments, working closely with other departments to ensure timely resolution.
•    Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support overall business operations and achieve organizational goals.

 

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Access)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

 

Essential Functions:

 

•    Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
•    Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Access) to manage and analyze data effectively.
•    Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
•    Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
•    Adaptability: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, handling pressure and meeting deadlines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•    Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time during work hours.
•    Dexterity: Sufficient hand and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components efficiently.
•    Communication: Ability to converse and exchange information with all levels of staff within the organization, fostering a collaborative work environment.
•    Data Handling: Ability to observe, perceive, identify, and translate data accurately, ensuring precise information management.
