JOB SUMMARY:
The Associate Wealth Advisor is actively involved in onboarding new clients and servicing existing relationships, providing analytical and operational support while developing foundational relationship management and business development skills under the guidance of a Wealth Advisor. The Associate provides analytical, operational, and client relationship support under the guidance of an Advisor while demonstrating growing proficiency in fiduciary concepts, client planning, and advisory judgment. The role is intentionally structured to prepare strong performers for advancement into a Wealth Advisor position, based on performance, readiness, and business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Account Administration & Advisor Support:
• Support the administration of trust, investment, retirement, and brokerage accounts, including account openings, asset transfers, terminations, and special assets.
• Process daily transactions including securities transfers, cash and check requests, deposits, gifts, and routine account maintenance.
• Coordinate with Investments, Advanced Planning, Operations, and other internal partners to ensure timely execution of client needs and accurate information flow to Advisors.
• Review accounts daily for overdrafts and issues; conduct monthly account reviews and prepare annual account reviews, ensuring statements, distributions, and tax documentation are accurate and complete.
• Review portfolio review presentations for accuracy, consistency, timeliness, and professionalism.
Client Relationship & Service:
• Serve as an initial point of contact for client inquiries and support ongoing client communications.
• Participate in client and prospect meetings, portfolio discussions, and follow-up communications to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Prepare client meeting materials and presentations, document key discussion points and next steps.
• Independently handle routine to moderately complex client matters, escalating when appropriate.
Analysis, Research & Planning:
• Conduct financial statement analysis and assess complex client and prospective client situations.
• Develop and deliver spreadsheets, reports, and summaries; provide insights and recommendations to support client management and business development.
• Conduct financial, product, market, and operational research to support strategic planning and client solutions.
• Build a working knowledge of client portfolios, investment strategies, and asset allocations in partnership with the Investment team.
Business Development:
• Participate in business development discussions and activities alongside Advisors, including internal and external networking opportunities.
• Support client growth initiatives by identifying needs and recommending appropriate bank products and services.
Firm & Practice Development:
• Develop a strong understanding of Wealth Advisory policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Perform all duties in compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two (2) years of professional experience, preferably in banking, wealth management, financial services or a related client-facing environment.
• FINRA licenses (Series 7, Series 66, Life & Health) preferred; willingness to obtain required.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly develop a working knowledge of banking and wealth management products, services, and internal partners.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft products, with the ability to produce polished reports, financial analyses, spreadsheets, and client-ready presentations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, prepare summaries, and support strategic recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with clients, Advisors, and internal partners.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and client needs in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams and service lines.
