The Sr. Recruiter ensures that United Bank has a presence in the business community by pro-actively interacting with internal and external sources.  This individual is responsible for marketing United to the community in an effort to recruit top and key talent.  The Sr. Recruiter is responsible for evaluating existing processes/practices and make recommendations for enhancing the recruiting activities in order to effectively attract top talent.   This position will have ongoing communication with managers regarding existing and future staffing needs and provide management with recommendations on how the recruitment efforts will contribute to the success of the line of business and overall strategic plan.  It is essential that the Sr. Recruiter is a professional representative of the organization at all times.




•    Manage the full-cycle recruiting activities for positions in an assigned territory and lines of business to include sourcing, screening, interviewing, developing a compensation package, closes candidates and provides a high touching on-boarding experience.  
•    Pro-actively assess and consult with hiring managers promptly on vacancies and staffing needs, deliver a recruitment plan and offer alternatives
•    Recommend to Recruiting Manager and implement recruiting plans in an effort to recruit and retain top talent for open positions and anticipate turnover.
•    Meet and consult with local community businesses, colleges and universities in an effort to solicit an applicant pool and build a pipeline
•    Negotiate offers with candidates; negotiate applicant start date and schedule new hire orientation; extend selected applicant employment offer providing all pre-employment information (i.e. offer letter, credit and background investigation, etc.)
•    Ensure new hires experience a positive onboarding 
•    Develop and present to manager a recruiting plan that encompasses all activities planned by quarter including goals, conferences, meetings, etc.  
•    Attend conferences and join online networks to gain stay abreast of industry trends and best practices
•    Use standard and creative methods to recruit candidates, including but not limited to internet searches, advertising, internal and external career fairs, sourcing; direct recruiting, networking events, etc.
•    Work closely with the Compensation area to ensure job descriptions are updated if necessary, for posting and communicate if re-evaluation of classification and/or salary range is requested.
•    Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, as well as local, state and federal laws and guidelines; maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients
•    Prepare weekly staffing reports
•    Manage internal job posting communications with employees and managers in a timely manner
•    Participate in staff meetings and HR related policy revision or implementation
•    Identify, develop, and manage relationships with key colleges and university career services teams, student groups and academic leaders 
•    Assist in the development and lead the campus recruiting strategy for all roles across the business, including full-time and internship opportunities
•    Participate in recruiting-related projects and generalist duties as assigned.



•    Bachelor’s degree is required
•    Minimum of five (5) years proven recruiting experience in a high-growth, fast-paced, corporate environment, including time spent in Campus recruiting is required
•    Ability to travel to all Company locations and external functions, required travel may be up to 25 % of time and overnight travel is required
•    Ability to work flexible scheduled based on recruiting events that attendance is required
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required
•    Demonstrated experience implementing a wide range of creative and innovative talent acquisition programs required
•    Demonstrated experience selecting target schools, establishing on-campus relationships and building a compelling employment brand at elite colleges and universities 
•    Strong record of success in designing, planning, implementing and measuring the results of recruiting events 
•    Exceptional ability to manage internal client relationships, leveraging strong consultative skills and an emphasis on tact and diplomacy 
•    Ability to be self-directed with a high sense of urgency, while also effectively collaborating and working in a team environment 
•    Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands

Essential Functions:  


•    Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
•    Sufficient dexterity of hands and fingers to efficiently operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.

•    Ability to travel via air, rail, automobile and/or bus.
