Job Description

Responsible for the day-to-day functionality of the Central Reference File (CRF) department.  The CRF department is responsible for reviewing new deposit account documentation in accordance with the bank’s Customer Identification Program as well as performing customer and account maintenance and annual projects.  Plays an active role in hiring, training, scheduling and, if needed, corrective action for assigned employees.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Directly oversees the CRF staff to ensure the daily work is completed timely and efficiently consistent with established departmental policies and procedures.   
•Regularly performs daily production to handle higher than expected workloads, employee absences, system related issues, etc.
•Completes required HR duties, including monitoring time and attendance records, completing performance reviews, recommending promotion and salary changes, and providing input for management’s use in documenting staff additions/reduction, terminations, and/or replacements. 
•Responsible for monitoring workflow and productivity to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
•Responsible for training of staff - new hires and ongoing, developing staff and evaluating staff needs and make recommendations as appropriate.
•Create and maintain a positive and professional work environment
•Annual W8 Recertification mailing.
•Annual B Notice processing.
•Respond to annual IRS Civil Penalty to prove due diligence in order to get penalty forgiven.
 

Qualifications

•A high school diploma or equivalent is required
•Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Operations or direct related external experience required 
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel) is required
•Prior supervisory of employees in a professional setting
•Ability to prioritize and meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced environment
•Ability to maintain a professional and mature demeanor in effectively overseeing the
department
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Sufficient dexterity of hands and fingers to efficiently operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.
  • Ability to converse and exchange information with all levels of staff within organization.
  • Ability to observe, perceive, identify, and translate data
