JOB SUMMARY:
The ERM Risk Analyst is responsible for identifying, communicating, and managing risks across the organization. This role works closely with senior management to execute corporate risk strategies and focuses heavily on analytical work to improve operational efficiency and mitigate risk. The analyst will conduct periodic risk assessments to ensure compliance and address regulatory vulnerabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and enforce (as applicable) the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, risk assessment methodology, and related frameworks.
• Perform risk and control assessments to identify and evaluate risks.
• Facilitate discussions with various Lines of Business management to assess risks, establish controls, and assign ratings.
• Conduct audits, in-depth interviews, and analyze assessment processes to evaluate effectiveness.
• Establish Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), analyze risk data, and set appropriate thresholds.
• Conduct Focused Risk Assessments (FRAs) and control testing to evaluate the effectiveness of risk controls.
• Perform risk analytics and quantify risk exposures to support decision-making.
• Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to assess and manage risk.
• Track operational risk incidents and perform root cause analysis to identify systemic issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct research as needed on risk-related topics.
• Manage correspondence with regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate regulatory affairs, including first-day letters, quarterly monitoring reports, and other required documentation.
• Prepare and coordinate Risk Committee packets for Board of Directors meetings.
• Communicate and coordinate with the Board of Directors.
• Attend meetings, take notes, and prepare meeting minutes for distribution.
• Promote a strong risk culture across the organization through training, communication, and leadership engagement.
Qualifications
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
