Job Description
The HMDA/CRA Analyst will ensure compliance with Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Small Business Reporting by reviewing originated, declined and withdrawn files to ensure all files contain the information required for HMDA and CRA reporting requirements. The Analyst will work closely with other HMDA team members, business line associates, compliance staff and supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect, validate and data entry of all HMDA and CRA reporting information into the appropriate database reporting software. Review data entry of fellow team members to ensure accuracy through second review process.
- Complete assigned work within deadlines to ensure efficiency and meet compliance reporting dates.
- Follow up with lenders to confirm required information, if needed.
- Perform geocoding, data quality and validity checks.
- Research and resolve exceptions identified.
- Responsible for a final review of all HMDA and CRA reportable loans identified on the Loan Application Registers (LARs) for 100% accuracy prior to the annual LAR submissions.
- Ensure record retention requirements are met according to the Company's policies and procedures.
- Complete all required training assignments in timely manner.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in HMDA operations, compliance review, or mortgage or commercial loan processing, origination or servicing required.
- Experience with loan origination systems, particularly Encompass, highly desired
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word required.
- Working knowledge of loan processing and decisioning required.
- Willingness to learn and apply basic federal, state, and regulatory rules, laws, regulations, and statues relevant to the mortgage and banking industry required.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment required.
- Strong work ethic and dependability required.
- Precise attention to detail required.
