Job Description

This position performs testing to ensure bank documents, policies and procedures are in compliance with federal regulations and state laws. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively keep current with all regulatory requirements by reviewing daily compliance regulatory resources and attend webinars as available.
  • Follow internal testing program per annual schedule to perform quarterly deposit and lending monitoring to determine the level of compliance with federal regulations, state law, policies and procedures
  • Generate written report on the testing completed to the Line of Business summarizing the findings and communicate with Line of Business
  • Finalize report on the testing for Board submission
  • Assist in other tasks as needed within the department

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree highly desired
  • Minimum of four (4) years financial institution experience with at least two (2) years working in compliance regulatory function required
  • Practical knowledge of key lending and/or deposit related compliance regulations such as Regulation B (the Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Regulation Z (the Truth-in-Lending Act), Regulation CC (Funds Availability Act), and Regulation E (Electronic Fund Transfer Act) required
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret banking laws and regulations required
  • Ability to work independently and identify when to obtain guidance required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Professional interpersonal skills required 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required
  • Ability to travel up to 15% including overnight travel as business needs arise required
