The primary function of the Associate Wealth Advisor is to support Relationship 
Managers/Advisors in day-to-day client contact, relationship management, trust and investment 
account administration, compliance requirements, and other functions as required to maintain 
excellent relationships with clients, external professional advisors, and internal business partners.


The Associate Wealth Advisor assists, maintains and develops client relationships under the 
guidance and direction of the Wealth Advisor. The Associate Wealth Advisor is involved 
throughout the process of onboarding new clients and servicing existing clients, receiving 
continuous training and mentoring from the Wealth Advisor, while providing high quality data 
analysis and strategic support.


RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
Account Support and Administration: Support Advisors in the administration of trust, 
investment, retirement, and brokerage accounts.
• Coordinate closely with all United Wealth Management service lines – Investments, 
Advanced Planning, Operations, Leadership - that are incorporated into the client 
relationship. Engage with those other members of the team to ensure the Advisor is 
abreast of client updates and that client matters are being executed in a timely and 
effective manner. 
• Participate in Business Development-related conversations alongside Advisor. This 
includes internal United Bank colleagues, non-United Centers of Influence, industry and 
networking events, etc. Begin building and familiarizing yourself with Business 
Development processes, which will ultimately be implemented over time to uncover new 
opportunities for the Advisor. 
• Conduct a broad range of data analysis and present results in an accurate, professional, 
and informative manner; Deliver spreadsheets, reports, summaries and issue opinions and 
recommendations to Wealth Advisors regarding client management and business 
development initiatives.
• Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to 
support strategic and business planning within the department.
• Focus on business development efforts through our hands-on and holistic approach to 
identifying and exceeding client needs; Reinforces sales skills by effectively 
recommending appropriate Bank products and services.
• Daily transaction processing, securities transfers, cash and check requests, gifts, deposits, 
routine client information requests and updating client information.
• Assist with account opening, asset transfer, account terminations, and special asset 
management. 
Client and Manager Support: Act as an initial point of contact for client inquiries and team 
communications.
• Actively involved in client and prospect conversations, email exchanges, portfolio 
reviews, investment discussions, etc. to ensure a seamless client experience and serve as 
an additional member of the team for requests, questions, administrative matters, etc. 
Provide detailed minutes of conversations, when appropriate, to coordinate next steps and 
future client conversations. 
• Gain knowledge and an understanding of each client’s investment portfolio and the 
rationale for the investment approach, allocation, underlying holdings, etc. Interact 
frequently with counterparts in United Wealth Management’s Investment Team to ensure 
seamless coordination between Advisor and Investment team. 
• Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements and assessment of complex client and 
prospective client relationships.
• Review all client Portfolio Review presentations to ensure accuracy, timeliness of data, 
and recent client activities/actions. Ensure format of presentation is consistent and in-line 
with United’s expectations and professionalism. 
• Independently handle certain routine to moderately complex client matters and undertake 
research or take needed action to resolve (with guidance from senior officers where 
appropriate).
• Interact with current and potential customers and Wealth Advisors to inquire about 
important information pertaining to transactions or items disclosed within financial 
statements, etc.
• Prepare client meeting materials; create and prepare presentation materials for meetings 
in collaboration with relationship teams or other departments to ensure deadlines are met. 
• Review pertinent account information on the trust accounting system daily to identify 
overdrafts and resolve other issues with the Account Officer(s).
• Review accounts monthly and prepare the annual account reviews. Review and organize 
the account file, ensure statements and distributions are set up and tax documentation is 
in order. (Any discrepancies or concerns are discussed at the account review meeting to 
ensure recommendations are implemented accordingly.)
Firm Building: Develop a strong knowledge of Wealth Advisory functions, policies, procedures 
and best practices.
• Participate in special projects and identify process improvements.
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned and carry out all responsibilities in 
compliance with company policies, procedures and practices.


SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:


• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two (2) years of working experience in a professional position, preferably in banking or 
wealth management, is highly desired
• FINRA licenses (S7, S66, Life & Health) or desire to obtain is highly desired
• Expected to acquire and apply a comprehensive understanding of the various banking 
products, services, lines of business, and internal departments at United Bank.
• Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Microsoft Word, Excel, and 
PowerPoint) required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Strong organizational skills required
• Ability to multi-task and work both in team settings and independently in a fast-paced 
environment to meet deadlines required
• Ability to interact in a professional demeanor with all levels of staff, including Executive 
Management, and customers required
