Oversee the mortgage department’s LOS technology, business intelligence, and project management system tools and processes. Provide strategic support and guidance to mortgage department leaders on technology solutions, software platforms, and business intelligence. Develop and implement strategic objectives to provide efficient and cost-effective technology infrastructure for the organization. Identify and develop talent within the department to help ensure performance and succession plans are effective.   

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Accountable for full management of direct reports and overseeing the management of entire staff to include hiring, coaching, performance managing, professional development, and disciplinary actions; build out and lead a high-performing learning organization.
•    Lead all areas of responsibility in identifying opportunities, leveraging new and existing technologies, and overseeing the planning and execution of all strategic initiatives to improve business processes.
•    Manage Loan Origination Software (LOS), Project Management Office (PMO), and Business Intelligence (BI) teams.
•    Serves as central coordination for data governance and analytics, ensuring all business reporting requirements are being met.
•    Accountable for all Mortgage systems and lead coordination with United Bank IT to ensure systems perform at high customer service levels.
•    Work with Mortgage Leadership on strategic technology planning and setting and executing on technology objectives.
•    Coach staff and provide them skill enhancement opportunities that meet the organization’s requirements for effective career development and succession planning
•    Lead project, change, and communication initiatives concerning technology. 
•    Manage vendor relationships, account management as well as new contraction negotiations and renewals, acting as liaison between business partners both internally and externally. Maintain awareness of vendor plans and potential impact.
•    Assist in the development of long-range and annual systems plans.
•    Responsible for complying with the various rules, regulations, policies and ethical standards governing the financial services industry including compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act.  
•    Other duties and projects as needed.

 

Skills / Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor’s degree required.
•    Minimum of eight (8) years of related working experience required.
•    Minimum of three (3) years of team lead or management experience required
•    Working knowledge of Mortgage Banking including processes and departmental relationships, terms, and documents.
•    Experience leading multiple IT projects using formal project methodologies.
•    Ability to communicate clearly via written and verbal media.
•    Ability to work with senior management effective, translating technical information
•    Prior experience working in a Banking or Mortgage environment preferred
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, advanced Excel knowledge required.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
