Job Description

The Senior Investment Analyst position requires strong fundamental knowledge of wealth asset management, fiduciary practices and investment strategies. The Senior Investment Analyst will have intermediate level investment expertise and will operate in a semi-autonomous environment, while also maintaining a support role for portfolio managers.
The Senior Investment Analyst is responsible for supporting the portfolio management team in the development of investment strategy, the execution of the strategy in client accounts, and maintaining the information and processes necessary for the successful completion of these functions.



  • Independently manage an assigned group of less complex client portfolios
  • Work with portfolio managers in managing assets in selected complex client portfolios
  • Create asset allocation programs in client accounts and provide recommendations to portfolio managers as needed
  • Buy, sell, and trade securities for assigned accounts in accordance with policies established by the Investment Committee
  • Conduct regular investment and portfolio research projects and stay abreast of developments in all areas of capital markets and asset classes
  • Analyze investment performance of designated accounts and third-party portfolio managers
  • Build and execute block trades, capital actions and maturities as assigned
  • Participate in the development of asset class level strategies based on management’s philosophy and objectives
  • Maintain or manage the process of updating all asset allocation models, and client and prospecting materials to reflect current best thinking, as well ensure current data and market information is relevant and timely disseminated to stakeholders
  • Complete assigned account annual reviews (“Reg-9” reviews) and related paperwork and records maintenance
  • Guide and mentor less experienced analysts on assigned work


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • CFA, or ability to obtain the CFA designation within one year is required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of investment management experience or equivalent experience such as Financial Analyst is required
  • Fundamental working understanding of fiduciary asset management principles and requirements is required
  • Fundamental working knowledge of capital markets and key economic factors and their interactions is required
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of software required
  • Proficient with research/analytics tools (Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar, Investor’s View, FirstRate)
  • Excellent client service and interpersonal skills required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task required
  • Detail oriented, flexible, organized, self-starter and team-player required
  • Flexibility to accommodate work outside normal business hours required
