Job Description

This position is responsible for the daily production of the mail delivery including preparation and delivery of mail to and from the Tysons facility. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report to and takes assignment and direction from the Maintenance Manager
  • Preparation and processing of all mail sent to and from the mail room via UPS and USPS.  
  • Distribution of interoffice mail to various departments at the Tysons facility. 
  • Ordering of postage and supplies necessary for daily production.
  • May serve as a resource to mailroom colleagues with less experience. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the department or previous mail room experience required. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and be detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, engaging manager as needed required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing required. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook) 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs is required.
  • Ability to professionally interact and communicate with all levels of staff required.

Essential Functions:

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Sufficient dexterity of hands and fingers to efficiently operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.

  • Ability to observe, perceive, identify and translate data.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to travel via air, rail, automobile and/or bus.
