The primary function of the Client Service Associate, Sr is to work closely with the designated Relationship Managers/Advisors in day-to-day client contact, relationship management, trust and investment account administration, compliance requirements, and other functions as required to maintain excellent relationships with clients, external professional advisors and internal business partners for the Wealth Management department (‘department’).    This role will be a subject matter expert in investments and utilize their security licenses abilities in working with Clients on their portfolio of investments


RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

  • Client Management: Serve as Client’s point of contact.
    • Oversee business metrics and trends and report as necessary on findings
    • Work with Client on investment advisement, analyzing the performance of client investments, economic and Financial market trends and make recommendations to meet the client’s investment objective and risk tolerance
    • Independently facilitate client trades for accounts
    • Prepare and present materials to existing and prospective clients as a result of meetings and research that align with the client’s needs, goals and objectives.
    • Develop leads and referrals from current and outside contacts.
    • Independently handle moderately complex client matters and undertake research or take needed action to resolve
    • Communicate with clients in a professional and pleasant manner; maintain confidentiality and discretion in all client and professional interactions; and keep appropriate parties informed. 
    • Review pertinent account information on the trust accounting system daily to identify overdrafts and resolve other issues with the Account Officer(s).
    • Review accounts monthly and prepare the annual account reviews. Review and organize the account file, ensure statements and distributions are set up and tax documentation is in order. (Any discrepancies or concerns are discussed at the account review meeting to ensure recommendations are implemented accordingly.)

 

  • Account Analysis and Administration:  Work with managers and Advisors in the administration of trust, investment, retirement and brokerage accounts. 
    • Daily transaction processing, securities transfers, cash and check requests, gifts, deposits, routine client information requests and updating client information. 
    • Monitor and review daily reports for accuracy, action items, resolution and follow-up. 
    • Responsible for account opening, asset transfer, account terminations, and special asset management.
    • Responsible for performing daily account administration and client service activities such as processing checks, generating daily reports, reviewing cash balances and processing of trade instructions. 

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree highly desired
  • Minimum of five (5) years of working experience in a professional related position is required, preferably in Banking or Investments
  • Minimum of two (2) years wealth management-related experience is required
  • FINRA licenses (S7, S66, Life & Health) is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to discuss investment performance, economic and financial market trends with clients
  • Knowledge and experience of Wealth Management/Brokerage products is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong organizational skills required
  • Ability to multi-task and work both in team settings and independently in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines required
  • Ability to interact in a professional demeanor with all levels of staff, including Executive Management, and clients is required
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
